Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, 142576

Supervised by: Venise Russ

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Depth Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. Since beginning my clinical work, I have gained experience in community mental health, nonprofit organizations, forensic settings, and private practice. I completed my internship at the Los Angeles LGBT Center and have worked with adults, adolescents, families, and diverse communities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, justice-impacted clients, and survivors of trauma.
My greatest clinical interest is trauma and the lasting ways our experiences shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and navigate the world. This passion developed while contributing to a university research project examining evidence-based interventions for survivors of violence and continues to guide my clinical work. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based theories while integrating evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to meet each client’s unique needs.

I believe healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and curiosity. While therapy offers insight, support, and practical tools, meaningful change ultimately comes from the choices clients make as they begin applying what they have learned beyond the therapy room. I also draw inspiration from existential philosophy, recognizing that alongside symptom relief, many people are searching for a greater sense of meaning, purpose, and connection. Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, and nonjudgmental, and I strive to create a space where people feel comfortable exploring difficult experiences, discovering new perspectives, and building a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, exploring different cultures, and spending time at the beach. I grew up in a multilingual Hispanic household and provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
