A registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with specializations in both clinical counseling and forensic psychology from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Villanova University.
Jan’s professional experience includes working with couples, individuals, families, teens, children, and adults. As a former military spouse, Jan has worked closely with active duty, Veterans, and their partners and families. She is a goal-oriented therapist that implements evidence-based interventions to help you on your path to change and growth. Jan considers the individual and their personal experiences when choosing what tools will enable a client to address life’s challenges in the most effective way. She believes strongly in the therapeutic relationship and that an empathic, non-judgmental environment best facilitates individual empowerment. Recognizing one’s strengths and unique place in this world is key to self-acceptance and a peaceful mind.
In the past, Jan has assisted individuals with anxiety, mood and thought disorders, PTSD, sexual dysfunction, substance abuse, anger management, and personality disorders. Through the use of DBT, RET, CBT and strength-based psychotherapies, Jan has been able to walk a path of transformation with her clients.
